Copyright & Permissions

The publishers of the Trinity Psalter Hymnal desire Psalms and biblical hymns to be widely sung throughout Christ’s church even as all involved abide by applicable copyright laws. We strive to follow and enforce these laws to protect all parties. Many years were devoted to compiling this collection, which includes original authorship and composition by the Trinity Psalter Hymnal Joint Publishing Venture. Many third party copyright holders granted their non-transferable permission to the Trinity Psalter Hymnal for their work to be included in this project, and we must be diligent to safeguard the rights and intellectual property of everyone involved in this project. This means that if you desire to reproduce any copyrighted material in the Trinity Psalter Hymnal, applicable permissions must be sought.

Copyrighted material in the Trinity Psalter Hymnal is indicated by a © and an accompanying copyright statement on the bottom of the song’s page under the attributions. The © symbol indicates that in order to copy, reprint, or project the song, permission must be obtained or a copyright license issued.

Please read the End User Agreement carefully. To learn more about compliance, limitations on reproductions, and more, continue reading below. If you have questions, please contact us.

How to Reproduce or Project Legally

The purchase of digital editions of the Trinity Psalter Hymnal does not automatically grant the purchaser permission to reprint or project each of the songs contained in it. Under copyright law, the end user is responsible for the proper licensing to reproduce copyrighted material. If copies or reproductions are made (including projection), the user making such copies is responsible for the act of reproduction and must obtain permission or pay appropriate fees when necessary. Print Edition Permissions (accompanist, leather, pew editions):

Individual psalms and hymns may not be photocopied or otherwise reproduced without the express permission of the Trinity Psalter Hymnal Joint Venture, which can be contacted at this email address. Individuals and churches are hereby granted permission to make no more than 400 photocopies or one digital copy each of up to 12 psalm or hymn selections in this book for a not-for-profit use. If the copyright of a text, tune, or arrangement of a psalm or hymn selection is held by a person or organization other than the Trinity Psalter Hymnal Joint Venture, permission to make such copies must also be obtained from that person or organization. These copies should not be kept for more than one year. These copies themselves or accompanying written material (such as a church bulletin) must state, if reasonably possible, that the selection is taken from Trinity Psalter Hymnal and used by permission
